Cigar Shoppe, Wall-Mount Vending Humidor
Slimline Design, Inc. of Vancouver, B.C., introduces the Cigar Shoppe, a cigar humidor/vending machine. The unit is aimed at adult only locations, such as cigar rooms, bars, nightclubs, and casinos. This space-saving vending machine is wall-mounted, providing vendors the flexibility to place the machine in a premium location.The Cigar Shoppe utilizes a forced convection humidification system to keep cigars at the proper temperature and humidity. It is operable by remote or token, enabling the retailer to supervise the vending of tobacco products and work within the parameters of any laws regarding tobacco vending. The unit is handcrafted from solid oak and brass with a red felt-lined product delivery area. It contains a sealed cabinet, lined with Spanish cedar, which offers a selection of ten different cigar varieties and has a maximum capacity of 150 cigars. Slimline has also developed their own patented anti-theft delivery system for the machine and a double key lock system to eliminate pilferage. The unit is available in three finishes; natural oak, dark cherry, or black oak. Also available from Slimline is the Mark X, the cigarette vending and merchandising unit. DGH Systems Humidifier for Walk-in Humidors
DGH Systems, a manufacturer of environmental control and humidification systems has introduced the MiniSteam electrode humidifier for walk-in humidors. The MiniSteam provides sterile steam humidification, with capacities to 20 gallons/day, for maintaining accurate humidity control of cigar inventory.DGH's humidifier combines powerful microprocessor control with modern styling. It includes an LCD display indicating humidity readout, steam output, drain and fill functions, as well as a number of diagnostic features to aid in the maintenance of the unit. The MiniSteam is available in 220 volt, one phase power, and is easily installed and serviced. The Smokeeter is a self-contained, two-stage electrostatic precipitator that captures tobacco smoke, dust, and other airborne particles much like a magnet. As contaminated air is drawn through the unit, the particles are given a positive charge by the ionizer. The charged particles are then deposited on the collection plates as the air flows through the unit and clean air is recirculated back into the room.
